.95 Beneful dog food And FREE McCormick`s Brown Gravy

Yes I did it again, I ripped off the store with paper! Yes newspaper paid for my stuff today. After all coupons are money.

I went by my favorite Publix Grocery store this evening on my way home from the dentist (no, nothing wrong, Just a cleaning and check up and all is good :).

I was wanting to stock up on Little bites by Purina but they don`t have any or don`t carry it but the other store does so I will save the rain check to get that one.

Anyways back to my shopping trip today and Saving more than $60.00!

Here is the breakdown:

Rain check was first:

8 – Beneful dog food 4 pound bag $5.89 each, on sale buy one get one free – Used $2.00 on each = $1.89 for every two (.95 each !!!)

10 – cans of Campbell`s soup $1.49 each, on sale buy one get one free – Used -40 off four manufacturer coupon that doubled to .80 AND $1.00 off five store coupon = . 39 each

Grand total before sale and coupons was : $76.75

I paid : $12.11
Tax 3.39
______
$15.50

A total savings of $61.25

Now that is how I like to extreme coupon, especially for dog food!

As I was checking out the employee bagging said ” I would not pay that price for this dog food”. The cashier that knows me said ” you would if you pay what she`ll pay”. The cashier knows me and we share deals all the time and on occasion coupons.

With that being said the dog food alone would have been $47.12 with no tax added and with the price in half because of the buy one get one sale it was $23.56 and then I put a $2.00 coupon on each bag and I paid $7.56 for 32 pounds of dog food.

Love me some coupons!!!

Target is the place! That is right, Target!

As I was flipping so carelessly through the target weekly ad I seen it! The coupon of all coupons! Save five dollars when you buy fifteen dollars worth of Pepsi products and Aquafina water.

The Diet Pepsi is on sale 4 for $12.00 and the water is on sale $3.79 for a 24 pack.

There ya go! that is $15.79 right there. Now hot that price with a five dollar coupon and now I am down to $10.79, but lets not stop there! My friend Mindy gave me Diet Pepsi coupons 🙂 $1.00 off a 12 pack. NOW we are doing some serious coupon damage. $6.79 for ALL four 12 packs of diet Pepsi AND a 24 pack of Aquafina.

That is what I am talking about! BAM!

But I still have to add those pesty taxes so it ran my cost up to $7.87. I can live with that.

Now for some food, next stop Aldi grocery store.

100_5415

We all know that Aldi`s is the cheapest ever on produce and that is exactly what I bought.

2- Cucumbers .49 each

Iceburg Lettuce – .89 each

4 pounds of red grapes – $1.98 each two pound bag

Bananas .44 per pound -$1.12

Grand total before coupons and sale was $40.15

I spent $21.99.

I saved $18.16

Now that is how I like to shop for under $25.

.44 Duncan Hines Brownie Mix and Free Frosting

For the past few weeks I have not made any nice deals on food that I can mention as being wonderful deals. The coupons have been low in value, but still free money to apply to buying foods you use.

Until Today….

Publix my favorite grocery shopping store had a couple awesome buy one get one free sales for things I will need in the near future and for a couple stockpile additions.

Usually I make my own onion rings and French fries but this is Alexia frozen products [a good brand] and I buy fresh potatoes and spinach for the most part and not canned but today I added these to the stockpile because there will be days when I have to eat but do not have time to cook, as far as canned good I keep those in case of an emergency.

Here is the deal, what coupons I used and how much I paid:

4 – Duncan Hines Brownie Mix $2.89 each on sale buy one get one free – Used $1.00 off each store coupon = .44 1/2 each

2 – Duncan Hines frosting $1.99 each on sale buy one get one free – Used $1.50 mft coupon off one frosting when you buy two brownie or cake mix- FREE and MADE .50 on each.

9 – Cans of Delmonte vegetables $1.43 each on sale buy one get one free – Used $1.00 off three store coupon = .38 each

2 – Pillsbury frosting $1.79 each on sale $1.00 each AND 1- Pillsbury cake mix $1.59 – Used store coupon buy two frostings and get one cake mix free = $2.00 for all three!

2- Alexia frozen products $3.53 each on sale buy one get one free – Used .75 mft. coupon off each = $2.03 for both!

Grand Total before coupons and sale was : $40.64
I paid : $8.24
A savings of $32.40

100_5363

NOTE: All the brownie mix, cake mix and frostings will be for Christmas for the elderly as gifts. I do not eat this because I am diabetic.

I went by Walmart for some dental floss and picked up three 12 packs of Diet Pepsi $4.95 on sale $3.33 each and I used $1.00 mft. coupon off each. $2.33 is awesome for a 12 pack!

100_5366

Also, I have been saving in other places for things that I do need right now but comes with no coupons.

BIG savings : I have been super busy with the business and Tony hired on this guy that was in dire need of work but he was like a vampire and sucking the life out of me with this ” daily pay”. Since I fired all the old employees last year and took my business back over I usually do not let anyone hire unless its through me, so once again I took this situation over and I did this, I told this guy ” I need this done here, How much for the job?”, then I took him to another job site and I said “I need this done here, how much for that job?”. I forced him to make me a flat price, so that he would not poke around for weeks for a daily pay and the work still not finished. I am saving a vast amount of money by doing things this way.

Now that is how I like to use coupons and my head to save as much money as possible!

$1.00 Hormel Chili With Beans

I know what most people will say ” yuck! why not make your own Chili? ” . There are days that I just cannot be home to cook but there are still people looking at me and waiting for lunch or dinner.

As most of you know the price of can goods have went sky high as most everything in the past couple of years, but we won`t blame any President, so if you can find them on sale and apply a coupon then double savings for you!

I normally don`t go into the small grocery store in this small town but I needed a loaf of whole wheat bread so I ran in for that and I grabbed a sales ad when I left. I was looking through this ad later in the evening and I noticed they had Hormel chili two for $3.00 . I can say that at Walmart I know they are almost $2.00 each and at times , yes only at times, they are $2.00 each at Publix.

I gathered up my coupons and the next trip into town I stopped and did a stock up. I bought ten cans and I used a manufacturer coupon for the amount of $1.00 off two cans making each can just $1.00.

Maybe you are thinking thats a lot of canned chili and it is but I can say that it will be used for different meals and not just eating a bowl of chili with cracker, although I like a bowl of chili with crackers sometimes.

What I see when I see can chili is meals, junk food meals made at home.

For Instance:

Chili pie – Corn chips on bottom, Hot chili on top of the corn chips and top with American cheese.

Chili dogs – Hot dog bun, meat franks and chopped onions and chili on top. Addition topping if you want it all the way are Ketchup and mustard. Sweet relish and Kraut.

Those are two fast meals for a super busy, I cannot cook kind of day. Plus the kids will think they are eating out instead of at home 🙂

Got any quick meals with can chili?

100_5165
Yes! you did read that right, I paid two cent per can of herbal essence hair mousse. A total of .16 for all eight cans and I bought two blocks of Kraft cheese and two packages of shreds for $1.25 each.
There is this deal at Target that will end on Saturday September 19,2015 and I did it today without any problems at all.
Here is the deals and what coupons to use :
Buy Eight Herbal essence Hair mousse $2.99 to $3.39 .For me it was,
Five for $2.99 Each and  three at $3.39 each a total of $25.16
Use one Target store coupon $5.00 off $20 beauty coupon found in their weekly sales ad. Now the total is $20.16.
Use four Buy one get one free Herbal essence hair product up to $4.99 .  AND they scan for full price of $4.99 so now the Total for ALL eight cans is .16 .

Buy Four and use four .75 manufacturer coupons that I printed on line at coupons .com. I pay $1.25 each . My total is $5.00

The grand total before coupons was $39.52

  Total savings of $30.72
That is still not to shabby for eight hair products and four packs of cheese. I did let my sister get a hair mousse, she made the remarks ” When I need more I will call you “. Now meaning she would do the deal at Target but shop at my house for free, I reckon that is what big sisters are for.
When we were waiting on my sister to come out of Pet smart Tony said ” using those coupons like you do is what saves money to buy stuff we do not have coupons for, And thats a good thing . “
I do love me some coupons!

.24 Toaster Strudels And free Olives

I know I have spoiled myself with NEVER paying full price. I clip those coupons and look for the sales each week. No it does not take my whole day. I work and I have a homestead to take care of Plus two dogs.
My store of choice is Publix and for fresh produce I do not grow yet I go to Aldi`s .
A couple weeks ago Publix had Toaster strudels ( $2.48 each box ) on sale buy one get one free making them $1.24 each and you know that was the same week that a Manufacturer coupon came out for .50 off one came out. My publix doubles coupons so that .50 turned into $1.00 making them .24 each box. BUT when I got there they were sold out! They gave me a rain check and I used it today. I got seven boxes for $1.68 …. thats right, I practically stole them.
Next I had printed the Lindsay olive coupon $4.99 , you know those fancy kind. They are $4.59 so that coupon gave me FREE olives and .40 to spend 🙂
Its Bisquick time! ( $3.83 each )It is on sale buy one get one free $1.91 each this week and I had that printed  Manufacturer coupon from coupons . com for .50 that doubled to $1.00 . Under $1.00 ! Bam !
And the Minute rice is not on sale but I get lazy and I can microwave this so I got three packs at $1.99 and used .50 Manufacturer coupon that doubled to $1.00 making each just .99!
Then I blew my cheap deal away when I bought a head of cauliflower for $3.99.
But my total before coupons and sale was $44.96 and all I paid was $9.67 ( no sales tax added ). Now that is how I like to shop and stock with coupons. Next year I will grow my own cauliflower that is for sure.
I have not sat down with the coupons to match up with the deals of the week as of yet. But I know Diet Pepsi is on sale at CVS drug store three for nine dollars and thats the cheapest so far this week.
Do you use coupons? Do you get free foods all the time?
