1.25 Purina One Dog Food – .50 Zatarians

This is a stock up week at Publix grocery store for Dog food. About every month I receive coupons and I try to buy enough for my two dogs, They were down to around ten pounds of food and its the Beneful and they are not crazy about it.

The sale is for both Pedigree and Purina one, they like both so I bought as many as I had coupons for in my purse. I do have to go back for four more Purina because I did not know it was on sale and I just had one coupon with me.

The Zatarians comes on sale every other month and although I am on a diet, I will have one on occasion and for fifty cents, that is when you buy and stock up.

Another deal I did was on Pepsi and that is buy two and get two free, that makes them around two dollars and sixty two cents.

1 – Purina One dog food $8.49 each, on sale buy one get one free – used $3.00 off one manufacturer coupon = $1.25

4- Pedigree dog food, large dog $8.76 each -on sale buy one get one free – used $1.00 off one manufacturer coupon= $2.39 each

4- Pedigree dog food, small dog $8.98 each -on sale buy one get one free – used $1.00 off one manufacturer coupon= $2.49 each

4- 12 packs cartons of canned Diet Pepsi $5.29 each – On sale buy two get two free = $10.48 for four cartons – No coupon

1 – Angel soft toilet paper 12 double rolls $6.99 each – On sale $5.00 each – Used .45 manufacturer coupon that doubled to .90 = $4.10

4 – Zatarain`s frozen entrees $2.99 each, on sale two for $2.99 – used .50 manufacturer coupon that doubled to $1.00 = . 50 each

My friend hit senior discount 🙂 – 5% = -2.18

Total before sale and coupons was $87.99
I paid $24.49
Tax $3.89
___________
$29.38

Saving of $58.61

That is my stock up for this week, although I will go back for four more bags of the Purina one dog food with the regular price $33.96 that will still be only $5.00, so you see that savings and my dogs eat some good food they love 🙂

.50 Peanut Butter And $1.50 Pink Salmon

I know I made this resolution to cut back on shopping and I have cut back on stockpiling, I am not stocking anymore canned good BUT I am still stocking foods we eat on a regular basis. I feel it would be foolish to buy one for $3.00 when I can get twelve for $11.00 and not have to buy this item for almost a year.

I researched the new Publix`s ad on Monday and I made a little list because I really don`t need a lot. There are a few items that I am almost out of, or was completely out already. So when the new sale begins on Wednesday I am ready.

I also found a good deal at CVS, if you don`t have a CVS just price match at Walmart and you can still get this amazing deal.

First at Publix, I was allowed to do two transactions:

Transaction number one :

Four- Peter pan simply ground peanut butter $2.99 each – On sale buy one get one free – Used .50 manufacturer coupon for each that doubled to $1.00 = Paid .50 each

5% discount – .30

Total before coupons and sale was $12.31
I paid $1.68
Tax .37
—————-
$2.05

Transaction number two:

Eight – Peter pan peanut butter $2.99 each – On sale buy one get one free – Used .40 manufacturer coupon for each that doubled to .80 = Paid .70 each

Three Mazola Canola oil $3.79 each – On sale buy one get one free – Used .55 manufacturer coupon for each = $1.35 each

Total before coupons and sale was $37.69
I paid $9.60
Tax 1.45
—————-
$11.05

Now the entire total for twelve Peter pan peanut butters and three Mazola cooking oils was $50.00 and after I used the sales and coupons I paid $13.10 A savings of $36.90!

100_5807
Now to the CVS drug store shopping trip Using their sale and savings card.

Bumble bee pink salmon $3.69 each on sale for $1.50 each. No coupons used.

Seven cans of bumble pink salmon = Total before sale $25.83

I paid $10.50
Tax 1.55
————
$11.55

Grand total before sale and coupons = $75.83
Grand total of spending for the day is = $24.65
Grand total of amount saved = $51.18

Now I have eight months stock on peanut butter and probably six months or more stock of cooking oil. With seven cans of salmon I can make fourteen meals. Not to bad for under $25.

The salmon was mighty tasty too 🙂

Free Zantac and Free Doritos

Now I did not swear off shopping but I did say I am cutting back, I have.

It is rare that I go shopping on a Saturday but when I do I make it worth my while. And what store does that for me? Publix grocery store, that is which one!

I chose Publix grocery store today because they accept competitor coupons from Dollar general store, the $5.00 off $30.00 store coupon. Be sure to check with your store because around here only the Oxford location takes these from Dollar General.

Now to the deals. I did two transactions because I had Tony with me.

Transaction number one:

Two 30 count boxes of Zantac acid reducer $10.39 each – Used Buy one get one free of equal value up to nine dollars = two for $11.78

One 12 pack of Cottonelle toilet paper – $9.29 each on sale for $5.99 each – Used .75 manufacturer coupon off one = $5.24 each

One 40 count package of Totinos pizza rolls $4.11 each on sale buy one get one free – Used $1.00 manufacturer coupon off one = $1.11 each

Used one $5.00 off $30 competitor coupon from Dollar general store.

Grand total before sale and coupons was – $36.56
I paid – $15.46

Transaction number two:

Three 12 packs of diet Pepsi – $5.29 each On sale buy two get one free = three for $10.58

Two 40 count packages of Totinos pizza rolls $4.11 each on sale buy one get one free – Used $1.00 manufacturer coupon off one = $1.11 each

Four Armor sandwich makers $3.79 each on sale $3.00 each – Used $1.00 manufacturer coupon off one AND $1.00 off one publix store coupon = $1.00 each

Used one $5.00 off $30 competitor coupon from Dollar general store.

Grand total before sale and coupons was – $46.13
I paid – $14.29

Now lets tally up how much I spent total and how much I saved.

Grand total for both transactions before coupons and sale was – $82.78

I paid – $29.75

Saved – $53.03, That is not to bad of a savings for things to snack on because I don`t feel like cooking 🙂 even got the stomach ache pills ….. And the toilet paper. LOL.

Publix – weekly buy one get one free deals – the best

Not everyone eats alike so I will just focus on a few of the best “buy one get one free” deals that should have a coupon available to spend on each item, making it free or dirt cheap. Some Publix stores doubles coupons , some don`t. Stock up prices.

Cheerios – 10.9 to 14.1 ounce boxes – $3.79 buy one get one free – coupon – .50 Mft. coupon – Making two boxes $2.79 or if your store doubles $1.79 for two boxes, thats less than one dollar each!

Hellman`s mayonnaise – 30 ounce jar -$5.79 buy one get one free – $1.00 MFT. coupon = two jars for $3.79 , thats less than two dollars per jar!

Pillsbury Toasters strudels or Scramblers – four to six count -$2.55 buy one get one free – .50 Mft. coupon or .50/2 Mft. coupon =$1.55 or $2.05 but if your store doubles and you have the .50 off each = . 55 for two boxes , the .50 of two = $1.55 , either way this is a good deal making each box around $1.00 or under. I luck up and usually get to stock up paying only .55 for two boxes!

For two boxes of cereal, two jars of mayo and two boxes of breakfast pastry I will pay $6.13!

That is what I see as high lights of the weekly sale ad.

Do you shop and stock up?

.56 Cake Mix – $3.00 Pies -.62 Cool Whip

I know, I know! I should not be buying pies when I know I have everything here to make these pies, BUT….

I glanced at the Publix grocery store`s weekly ad and I should not have because I seen those pies on sale buy one get one free and I know I could knock another dollar off each pie with a coupon.

SO…

After a day of running around and giving away more goodies I ran by got my sister and went to Publix at eight O`clock at night.

I seriously do not need to have pie in the house because I am a diabetic and pie is a weakness of mine, especially the pies I bought. They are supposed to be for Christmas dinner and one is going to an elderly friend.

.29 Cucumbers And .49 Avocados

Friday evening I finally made it to Alid`s grocery store for my fresh weekly produce. I had no idea what was on sale but I was looking for oranges and mixed lettuces.

As soon as I seen the sales ad I picked up at the front door I knew this was my week! Everything I adore was on sale and extremely cheap the way I like to shop. I did buy every single item that was on sale in the produce section.

Here is the list and the price :

4- eight ounce packages of button mushrooms – .89 each

3 – Cucumbers – .29 each

1 – sixteen ounce bag of baby carrots .69

1 – three pound bag of navel oranges $1.99

2 pounds of red grapes $2.98

1 – container of mixed lettuces $1.99

3 – red grapefruits .69 each

2 – one pint containers of grape tomatoes .99 each

1 – Mango .89

2 – Avocados .49 each

Grand total : $18.00
sales tax 1.80
————
$19.80

That is how I like to spend a $20 bill.

Aldi`s grocery store has other good deals weekly and you can save shopping at this grocery store especially when you do not use coupons.

I think the milk was on sale for $2.47 per gallon and I it much higher even at walmart but I don`t drink milk. The eggs that used to be around .99 each dozen week are not staying around $2.50 a dozen. The blocks of cream cheese is always cheap at .89 to .99 each, you will not find any brand cheaper.

Junk food like chips and dip are also very cheap at Aldi`s . I have ate the chips and they are pretty good.

I have bought the bags of wild salmon before from the frozen department and they are good and I am sure the price was $1.00 less than Walmart.

Now I have to say what I do not like at Aldi`s and that is the bread. No matter what kind its just not tasty and is usually hard aka stale. Now that I am back off bread that is not a problem for me but for those who eat sandwiches I warn you.

I know there are some people who will not buy the fresh foods from Aldi`s or they are sold out of what you want. I can solve that problem for you. Price match! Take the sales ad to Walmart and price match the produce, I do this when they are sold out and I need or want that item badly.

Where do you shop for your produce?

That`s right I have been at it again! I could not help myself this week. Yes I have a stock pile with plenty of can goods and no we never have enough Pepsi so I did those deals, these deals were waiting for me!

I was not stopping at Dollar General store but I did have to run by Walmart so I price matched and the best part is they also have canned carrots and peas with carrots. I bought 12 cans for $1.00! I used three $1.00 off four manufacturer coupons, I paid out of pocket with taxes $1.32 , stocked and can share these. BUT if you chose to buy at Dollar General buy six cans and use one $1.00 off four manufacturer coupon and pay $1.00 for six cans.

Fred`s dollar -Pepsi $3.00 each with a coupon of $1.00 off two on box, Sweet Sue chicken broth 3 for $1.00 [ stock up price] and if you need a toaster, mixer, can openers they are $6.95.
I bought two 12 packs of can Pepsi – Used the manufacturer coupon on the box and three cans of broth for $5.00! I also shopped for my sister, she wanted a toaster to give someone for Christmas.

Now today I will do the deal below:

CVS – Gevalia coffee [ my favorite!] two for $10.00 and receive $3.00 extra bucks coupon back to spend in store. Used $2.00 coupon found on package for each. Pay $6.00 and get $3.00 coupon back to spend [ $3.00 ecb`s – one per person with card ]. Buy three Ocean spray cranberry sauces with berries and pay tax. Out of pocket for two bags of coffee and three cans of cranberry sauce $6.00 plus tax 🙂 Or save the $3.00 extra care bucks for next weeks sale.

Or I may just flip that $3.00 ecb`s and buy all coffee!! Buy 2 for $6.00 plus tax and get the $3.00 ecb`s. Then do another coffee deal at two for $10.00, use 2 manufacturer coupons on package = $6.00 AND the $3.00 ecb`s making those two bags $3.00 plus tax.

Forget the cranberry sauce, I am buying coffee!

Love me some coupons!
