Does anyone write six word stories to potentially spawn inspiration? I’m terrible at coming up with the six word stories themselves, to the point where I can’t even come up with an example to share with you all, but I’ve gotten inspiration from reading others’ examples.

Do you have a favorite six word story? Have you written or attempted to write one?

My favorite is the Ernest Hemingway famous six word memoir “Baby shoes for sale. Never worn.” that could have been mine at one point.

Mine was “Today she would have been ten.”

Lol. Me? Only 6 words? Hahahaha! Not possible. Lol. I am too lengthy.

That is a good one you have, though. I suppose I could try really hard and manage, but not without some real effort. 😉

I once did a challenge to write a 300 word story. It was so hard for me because I am normally incredibly verbose, but it was made to cut away the fat and trimmings and just give you the meat of the story. I like to challenge myself every once in awhile to do it. Maybe I’ll try again 🙂 That’s what the six word stories remind me of.

I wouldn’t mind trying it sometime.
