Salad and dressings are in right now so that people can lose the winter weight they put on. But I eat salads just about everyday. I am bored with the same old same old dressings and salads. What is your favorite way to have a salad?

I love many different types of salads. Making my own dressing is not a problem but store bought kinds are okay. I got away from using olive oil only again. I am trying to use up this basil kind that is not the greatest but edible. I usually make my own salad with carrots and lettuce, sometimes add onions and cucumber to it too. If we have tomatoes from the garden I will put the cherry ones in there.

You are eating about the same kind I am right now. For breakfast I had a mixed greens, tomato, cucumber and black olives with Italian dressing < store bought/wish bone.

I wrote an article on how to make salad dressings and I usually have salad with one of those dressings I wrote about. 🙂 Most often, that is Italian, Thousand Island or Ranch.

I love eating salads. A salad I eat very often is yogurt-cucumber salad.

I love eating salad, too. I mostly make just a simple yoghurt dressing but sometimes with pineapple or orange juice. It depends what veggies I add in the salad.

I wish I were more like my husband, he can’t stand any sauces, salad dressings or condiments of any kind. He has to have his salad bare. Meantime, I will have any salad dressing on offer, otherwise I find my salad too dry.

Has anyone ever tried walnuts in a tossed salad? I didn’t think that I’d like it, but it’s great. My cousin always adds walnuts. I’ve loved it ever since. It adds a unique crunch and flavor that goes well with many different dressing varieties. I especially love blue cheese.

I love blue cheese too! Yes I often add nuts to salads. I make one often that had toasted slivered almonds and cranberries, I use feta or blue cheese crumbles in that one. See cheese is why I have never claimed to be vegan 🙂 or rather last year when I was more strict on myself.

Do you cook the sweet potato or do you eat them raw?

I agree fruits are nice without dressings, but the vegetable salad is what I would like a new flavor for.
