NarayanParticipantSo the inevitable comes!
The infamous Bubblews closes down abruptly keeping up to its notorious ways of operations. It was not kind to its users even while shutting down. The users are complaining of the close-down message appearing all of a sudden in the landing page!No matter what, Bubblews was a site that made a lot of people smile. It was a site that realized the dreams of many who wanted to earn online. There has been enough discussions about all the bad things about bubblews, we all know that.
Since it’s closed down now, let’s say RIP, and reminisce our time on Bubblews. Let’s share the good experiences, learnings, or anything memorable about Bubblews.
-
November 15, 2015 at 11:48 pm #46619
shaloowaliaParticipantSo finally the site closed down. Bubblews was the first site which introduced me to online earning. It was a good experience and I made many friends there with whom I am still in touch on facebook.
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:01 am #46627
NarayanParticipant@shaloowalia
It wasn’t my first earning site, but it was the first site where I earned big amounts..Unfortunately, I couldn’t make good friends there, as most of them were leaving the site all through its life! -
November 19, 2015 at 6:26 am #48476
ptrk12ParticipantThe time from June to Oct 2013 was a good time for me on Bubblews. In fact I had good interactions with so many guys there- some like @laksh, @deepam etc are here also. At times, the discussions over comments was so enchanting that I used to devote 5 to 6 hours at a stretch on the site. And those $25 payouts per month did help me at that time.

November 20, 2015 at 5:04 am #48624
angie10ParticipantI know, @Iaksh….I could never understand that at all! I think some of them were doing it out of loyalty to the site, which then threw it in their faces. It’s just sad.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:08 am #46629
shaloowaliaParticipant@laksh bubblews was quite good in terms of earnings. no other site has ever come close in terms of payments.
-
November 19, 2015 at 10:39 am #48541
angie10Participant@shaloowalia…and many people have cited this as possibly being one of the things that ultimately brought it to its knees, sadly!
-
November 20, 2015 at 10:56 am #48715
ptrk12ParticipantFollowing an unsound financial model is always risky for an enterprise.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:13 am #46632
Grecy GarciaParticipantI still feel sad. I have this bitterness about the site, I have mixed feelings right now, but I think I will make a blog about this.
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:14 am #46633
erlymccheavenInactiveSo surprising then..let us hope Blgojob stays for good for many years..
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:17 am #46636
NarayanParticipant@erlymccheaven That’s what I pray for everyday when I login here!
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:22 am #46639
erlymccheavenInactive@laksh, hehehe, you’re funny friend.but the way the dealt with writers very clear sooner they’ll shut down,,and now the evidence is here. I hadn’t claim my $28 dollars. Let us do good here at Blog Job.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:36 am #46641
Grecy GarciaParticipant@laksh I just made mine. they owe me $700+, what I will be missing are the memories. I will miss the site, the memories, some of the people , but not the staff.
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:39 am #46642
NarayanParticipant@grecy095
You are soooo fast, just like @iamshane487 .
Could you just share one or two good memories in short? -
November 16, 2015 at 2:33 pm #46775
priscillakingParticipant$700! We aren’t nearly hard enough on thieves like Arvind & Jason in the U.S. They should be working on chain gangs, ten hours a day to pay what they owe and overtime if they want water.
-
November 16, 2015 at 2:59 pm #46784
rextruloveModeratorThe worst part is that Jason’s dad is a multi-millionaire, if the information I have is correct.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:42 am #46643
iyanpol12ParticipantDespite anything that it has done like not keeping its promises, it saddened me. The reason is, it has paid me nearly $2k in just 9 months. I also learned how to write articles there.
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:46 am #46646
NarayanParticipant@iyanpol12
$2k is really a big amount!
I earned just over $600 there in 1.5 years -
November 19, 2015 at 10:42 am #48543
angie10Participant@iyanpol12…wow, you really made a pretty penny from Bubblews! Well done, my friend 🙂
-
November 19, 2015 at 12:50 pm #48574
rextruloveModeratorIt wasn’t hard to do back then, @angie10. I was originally getting about $25 two or three times a week, for several months. I know one person who cashed out daily.
-
November 20, 2015 at 5:00 am #48622
angie10ParticipantWow, kudos to you, @rextrulove! You did really well out of it 🙂
-
November 20, 2015 at 9:09 am #48678
rextruloveModerator@angie10, it did take effort. I was writing 5-8 high SEO informative articles on the site every day, and spending at least 2-3 hours commenting and interacting, daily.
-
November 20, 2015 at 9:54 am #48695
angie10ParticipantMy, that was a lot of work, time and effort that you invested there! I bet you enjoyed it too? I’m glad you did get rewarded for your efforts, and hope you weren’t owed anything by Bubblews before it crashed and burned.
-
November 20, 2015 at 10:13 am #48703
rextruloveModeratorI cashed got paid in October, so I didn’t lose much this time. They still owe me $170 from last year that I’ll never see. Still, I do enjoy writing, regardless of where I’m writing.
-
November 23, 2015 at 7:42 am #49098
ptrk12Participant@rextrulove, that was a lot of work and its sad you were not paid fully for that.
-
November 23, 2015 at 10:30 am #49111
rextruloveModeratorYes, @ptrk12. That $170 represents about 40 articles, plus all the time spent interacting. But again, I would have written anyhow and I enjoy interacting when I have time.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:45 am #46645
Grecy GarciaParticipant@laksh I will blog about it, I will dedicate this day as a bubblews day. But anyway, my memories about Bubblews is when I was so depressed and alone. I posted what I feel on one of the post and I never thought I will received a more than 100 response. I could not even read it all. I thought I was alone but then again, I was not. That is the reason I fell in love with the people there.
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:56 am #46648
Grecy GarciaParticipant@laksh I will my friend. I am doing it now actually. Hope you read one.
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:57 am #46649
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:59 am #46650
Grecy GarciaParticipantthank you for that super sweet friend @laksh have a great day my friend.
-
November 16, 2015 at 1:10 am #46651
fun1oriented2learningParticipant@laksh, it closed forever OR simply temporarily.
-
November 16, 2015 at 1:39 am #46653
lejla1311ParticipantOh, I had no idea it si closed forever. I have good memories over there. I earned a lot of money there, but really a lot, and it was good while it lasted. Nothing lasts forever, especially something so god like that.
-
November 16, 2015 at 1:47 am #46654
iyanpol12ParticipantYes. During the “Tag Me” time, I was paid more than $200.
-
November 16, 2015 at 1:52 am #46656
fun1oriented2learningParticipant@laksh, are you serious?
-
November 16, 2015 at 3:42 am #46663
deepamParticipanthope we see another one like it in the near future
-
November 16, 2015 at 3:47 am #46665
MaricelParticipantmy first writing site goodbye,
-
November 16, 2015 at 4:07 am #46668
henryParticipantWhen I received my first payment of $25 from bubblews, besides being the first payment I ever received from online work, it also made me feel that bubblews would be the next big thing online forrever. Even with the endless nonpayment issues, many still hanged on hopes that things will get better until the latest news. Anyway, the last time i was there, the site admin was preparing to launge the app called sweeble. Does anyone here has experience with the app?
-
November 16, 2015 at 4:09 am #46669
-
November 16, 2015 at 2:35 pm #46776
priscillakingParticipant“Sweeble” was another rip-off of someone else’s word and someone else’s concept. I hope they never got it off the ground.
-
November 16, 2015 at 5:04 pm #46789
gina145ParticipantAs far as I know Sweeble is up and running, but they won’t be able to cheat their users as they’re not offering to pay them anything. I’ve never bothered to find out about it though as I don’t want to put any more money in Arvind and co’s pockets.
-
November 22, 2015 at 12:31 pm #48962
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 5:41 am #46672
jasgal142ParticipantI enjoyed my time there, but they were paying out way more than they were making, which meant bad things were bound to happen.
-
November 16, 2015 at 6:49 am #46675
realityspeaksParticipantBubblews used to be a favorite writing site. I never imagined Bubblews would shut down without intimating its users, but it’s happened. Thankfully, I have made a backup folder of all my articles posted there.
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:38 am #46682
peachpurpleParticipant@realityspeaks/ lucky you, I still have hundreds articles there not yet copy, my fault
-
November 17, 2015 at 1:34 pm #47080
TAlbertsParticipant@peachpurple I have some which are not copied yet but gladfully i wrote mostly on my Words before transferring my posts to Bubblews. It was a good time there and I have found friends. RIP to Bubblews!!!
-
November 20, 2015 at 5:01 am #48623
angie10ParticipantSo sorry to hear about that, @peachpurple! Is there no hope whatsoever of ever retrieving your material?!
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:22 pm #46823
Fifi LeighParticipantcan we use our Bubblews posts on this site?
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:33 pm #46826
rextruloveModeratorThat would be a rule violation: “You agree to only post unique original content”. If it was previously published, even if that site no longer exists, it isn’t original content.
-
November 16, 2015 at 11:22 pm #46864
NarayanParticipant@fifileigh WE CAN PUBLISH them here, if they no longer are indexed in search engines..
@rextrulove unique content, in general, means it should not exist anywhere else.. if they have been de-indexed from search engines, they can be used for sure.. Sheridan has made it clear here https://blogjob.com/forums/topic/reblogging-from-sites-that-are-no-longer-running-e-g-bubblews/#post-46863 even otherwise, that’s the general rule, unless specified otherwise. -
November 17, 2015 at 4:19 am #46897
Fifi LeighParticipantif the site is closed down, doesnt that mean that everything we posted there is now delete from the internet?
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:05 am #46676
NanaParticipantGood bye to a once sicial site to make friends
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:39 am #46683
peachpurpleParticipant@nana/ yup goodbye to them but we should welcome them here
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:36 am #46681
peachpurpleParticipantaw man, i still have 915 articles at bubblews! i haven’t copy them out yet!
-
November 16, 2015 at 5:09 pm #46791
gina145Participant@peachpurple I’m really sorry that you’ve lost so many articles. When I first started having problems getting paid there I went back through my archive and made sure that I had copies of everything. I wasn’t thinking about the possibility of the site closing back then, I was just concerned about the possibility that they’d delete my account if I complained too much. Since then I keep copies of every article I publish on any site I use.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:41 am #46684
moondebiParticipantI felt sad, but I am happy that at least they have let the people know about it.Many of us made a good money from the site.
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:41 am #46685
peachpurpleParticipant@jasgal142/ OIC, that caused them to shut down. They still owe me USD$400
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:42 am #46688
peachpurpleParticipant@henry/ heard of it, but not going to try it. If they had been paying all writers, they would going strong now. They cheated my money!!
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:43 am #46689
peachpurpleParticipant@maricel/ that is my 3rd writing site
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:44 am #46690
peachpurpleParticipant@deepam/ isn’t blogjob better than bubblews?
-
November 16, 2015 at 2:37 pm #46777
priscillakingParticipantI like that Blogjob is trying to cap payouts so that they don’t promise people too much and then have to cut payments or fall behind on making them. I like that Blogjob has both social forums and full-length blogs. I think the site’s a bit slower…and the people are, to a considerable degree, the same people!
-
November 16, 2015 at 11:27 pm #46867
NarayanParticipant@priscillaking
in almost all the earning sites, it’s the same people hehe 😀 Yes, I think blogjob is doing a great job on that front.. it’s not getting over ambitious, and taking things slow and steady..and since it has many elements in it, rather than just post and like and like and like, it’s more rewarding and exciting here.. I’ve almost stopped logging in to facebook!
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:46 am #46691
peachpurpleParticipant@shaloowalia/ it was the first and only site that gave me the huge earning in my lifetime but was the only site that had cheated my $400 which was huge loss to me too
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:56 am #46697
Anne FarmerParticipantThey could have given us warning because I didn’t get to take all of my articles from there yet. Grrr, they make me so mad. They strung people along for months and months.
-
November 16, 2015 at 10:07 am #46723
NarayanParticipant@anne123farmer Well we all knew its fate a year ago.. you should’ve taken down everything 🙁
-
November 17, 2015 at 1:38 pm #47082
TAlbertsParticipantAnne, that is why we have to have our backup files just in case it happens again. I hope not.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 9:19 am #46705
rextruloveModeratorI made a great deal more at Helium, but I did make a tidy sum at Bubblews, up to the time they withheld the payment to so many people they owed money to and changed the rules, which affected so many others. I can’t say that this surprises me, with all the class action lawsuits that have been brought against them and the black-listing by the Better Business Bureau, a year ago or so.
-
November 16, 2015 at 10:12 am #46724
NarayanParticipant@rextrulove True.. Those who left back when they first sensed something fishy are the lucky ones.. But your experience with Helium and Bubblews only shows that all these sites last only for a short term, and that we need to be on our toes all the time!
-
November 16, 2015 at 11:05 am #46736
rextruloveModeratorHelium still exists, just not as a pure writer’s site like it was. Being owned by one of the biggest publishers in the world (RR Donnelly) insures that it keeps going. Such is business, though. Poor economy translates to business failures. If a business lasts 5 years any more, they are doing pretty good.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 2:49 pm #46781
priscillakingParticipantRight. Sorry if it bothers anybody that so many bad memories from Bubblews bubble up when I think about that site. I did e-meet several nice people there…and am glad to see so many of them here!
I don’t think we should ever sweep what Bubblews did under an emotional rug, even just for the sake of one feel-good page. I think we should use the angry energy we all feel and demand laws that are much, much tougher on scammers like Arvind & Jason. It’s theoretically possible that when people set up a web site, call for material, and promise payment, the FCC could require the site to be set up so that all payments would be automatically forwarded to the contributors before the site manager could even see how much had come in that day. We in the U.S. owe that to countries where US$700 would go so far that intelligent adults would ever even consider going on writing while a site like Bubblews owed them US$700. People like @grecy095 should have been paid, promptly and automatically–let Arvind & Jason wonder whether *they* were ever going to see an actual dime out of all the advertising money. And we *can* demand that that happen.
-
November 16, 2015 at 10:23 pm #46849
NarayanParticipant@priscillaking It’s okay.. I understand.. it’s evident that we have the bad memories more than the good ones related to that site.
Well it’s theoretically possible, but technically a bit difficult.. But what we could do now is to rip them off by crashing down their new venture (the sweeble app, NOT sweeble.com). That is also, obviously, a scam..why? because it says “You must not post violent, nude, partially nude, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic, or sexually suggestive photos or other content via the Service.”
And yet you see such photos on the homepage of the site! And they kept the loyal bubblews users, who were with the site until the last minute, in the dark about their new venture.. obviously because they didn’t want anybody from bubblews to ruin their new site.. So LET US DO THAT!!! -
November 17, 2015 at 1:23 pm #47079
priscillakingParticipantSounds good @laksh …I don’t do “apps,” but wish success to anyone attacking or sabotaging any subsequent ventures by the Bubblews Scam Gang.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 6:01 pm #46805
nerdieedsParticipantI was paid 7 times from the get go and experienced the bad times when my balance was not paid. I still wanted to thank Bubblews for sending me money when I needed it the most. To all my friends out there who still stayed until it closed down, I will miss you. I hope to find ways to talk to them again.
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:00 pm #46819
NanaParticipantI always was paid one of the luckier ones and I have all my articles saved
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:17 pm #46821
Fifi LeighParticipantyeah, this is sad the Bubblews just died, after almost 3 years of struggling to stay alive on the internet. i had fun sharing all kinds of creative and artistic content as well as videos. I even started my e-journal there. i had fun exposing hidden information.
-
November 16, 2015 at 7:20 pm #46822
Fifi LeighParticipantyeah, we should create a Bubblews funeral post on here, so we all can give Bubblews a proper internet burial and lay it to rest. it will help us move on to better blogging career ahead, now that one chapter of our life is finished and we are ready to start a new chapter.
-
November 16, 2015 at 10:25 pm #46851
NarayanParticipant@fifileigh It’s better to have a separate place for our serious blogging instead of depending on third party sites..After all this, I decided to have my own blog site on wordpress.. I even purchased a domain name.
-
-
November 16, 2015 at 11:08 pm #46858
angelaParticipantThat’s really worrisome. Why are they shutting down?
-
November 16, 2015 at 11:37 pm #46872
shaloowaliaParticipant@peachpurple i had also lost payments worth 600$
-
November 17, 2015 at 6:10 am #46906
NanaParticipantI was not paid once but it was my fault at th $25 time I stopped or left when it took months to make money
-
November 17, 2015 at 8:05 am #46943
Xavier BageParticipantHas it really closed down? Sad! In spite of many non payments, Bubblews was the site where I got most of my online earning. I had over 900 blogs there.
-
November 17, 2015 at 8:48 am #46956
NarayanParticipant@xavierbage That’s true.. it’s the only site I’ve been able to earn significant amount till now.. but it’s also true that it ripped off almost everyone!
-
-
November 17, 2015 at 10:04 am #46972
fun1oriented2learningParticipantLet us close it. It might be good but is apparently no more. Let us pray for this website. Now, what should be next course of action?
-
November 17, 2015 at 5:02 pm #47103
Fifi LeighParticipantI just went on Google to google old posts that i had written on sites that i am not on anymore, and those old posts no longer exists. i even tried to find my old bubblews posts on the internet, and it takes me to a page which notes Bubblews no longer exists. so, i dont think any of our posts from bubblews exists anymore. they are probably all deleted or something. i can’t even find old posts from allvoices, in which i used to be on between 2008 to 2012. so, i might also use old posts from allvoices as well on this blogjob.
-
November 17, 2015 at 9:51 pm #47112
DannyParticipantlots of memories we had in Bubblews, including me.
-
November 19, 2015 at 4:12 am #48456
Susmitha AnoopParticipantI have earned 400 dollars
-
November 19, 2015 at 10:36 am #48537
angie10ParticipantSadly for me, I never got to enjoy Bubblews during its glory days 🙁 I think the point at which I joined was when everything was going downhill, so I have no good memories.
-
November 21, 2015 at 9:32 pm #48855
jkct01ParticipantIt was good when it started, then it turned bad. It will keep on happening. Just be ready.
-
November 22, 2015 at 4:45 am #48895
TAlbertsParticipantI have no feelings anymore about Bubblews. I saw it coming and seldom visited it. I never counted how much I earned from that site and how much I lost. I put the time of Bubblews into a close box of experiences though I miss my friends there and I hope to find them again online.
-
November 22, 2015 at 7:35 pm #49021
-
-
November 22, 2015 at 6:40 pm #49004
Grecy GarciaParticipantOkay so the sweeble.com is different from Sweeble the apps. Yes, I remember Sweeble the apps was mentioned in Bubblews before. I never try downloading the apps because I am not into apps.
-
November 16, 2015 at 12:16 am #46635
NarayanParticipant@barbrad
Exactly! It’s the same with me.. I’ve not made even 10% on all other sites put togetheer of what I made on bubblews.. but since last November, when I felt it was all over, I didn’t waste any time on it either! Thank God! -
November 16, 2015 at 4:57 pm #46788
gina145Participant@barbrad They only closed today, so that’s not why everyone moved to myLot. I imagine the members were just getting bored with the lack of activity at Bubblews and followed those of their friends who had given up on Bubblews a long time ago.
-
November 16, 2015 at 2:42 pm #46779
priscillakingParticipantThat would’ve been true for me, too, if they’d actually mailed payments after asking where to mail them to. I was the one who commuted 30 miles a day to post fundraisers on behalf of a needy family, and asked that they send the $50 to the church fund. They never did. Even before they started ripping other people off, while everyone else seemed to be earning as promised, Bubblews ripped off that family who’d been threatened with being put out on the street on Christmas Day.
-
November 16, 2015 at 5:13 pm #46793
rextruloveModeratorA number of people are beginning to find their way to EliteWriters.org, too.
-
November 16, 2015 at 11:06 pm #46856
NarayanParticipant@barbrad Exactly! All the good bloggers say the same 🙂 But I wasn’t able to take up a niche, as I felt I couldn’t do it.. It’s a broad site now, but at least I know that I won’t lose my articles and I don’t have to carry them and hop from one site to another!! I will soon be sharing my site with you for your advice 🙂
-
November 16, 2015 at 11:59 pm #46878
NarayanParticipant@barbrad I had read the article some time back, but I will have to read it again for this particular info.. Thanks for reminding 🙂
@barbrad I just read it again.. and amazingly that’s what I had in mind.. I have already approached a few writers whom I’ve known for some time now.. In fact, I had you also in mind 😛 hehe 😛 Those sites look really good, don’t they?
I just hope I can do something with mine in the coming days! -
November 19, 2015 at 10:40 am #48542
angie10ParticipantHang on….@rextrulove, are you actually reviving the site?!?
-
November 19, 2015 at 11:00 am #48551
rextruloveModerator@angie10, actually the site didn’t previously exist until about September. So it isn’t revived, it is relatively new.
-
November 20, 2015 at 4:58 am #48621
angie10ParticipantThanks for the response, @rextrulove 🙂 I guess maybe I should rephrase; what I meant to say is, is this the new site that replaces EliteVisitors, or is it a completely new venture complete with new management? TIA 🙂
-
November 20, 2015 at 9:02 am #48674
rextruloveModerator@angie10, I could go into great detail about the differences, but EV is dead and buried. The person who owned the domain name, had the server in his name and who had the host account is gone. I have no idea where he is and don’t particularly care. We own the domain name, my partner actually purchased the server and the host is totally different. The Elite Writers focuses on good SEO practices, EV never did. The theme for the site is different, too.
In other words, Elite Writers was built from the ground up, in September.
