Seven (7) Blogging Tips and Tricks From an Amateur

Been on my blogging adventure for years now yet still consider myself an amateur.  Though the learning curve has been steep, it has also been fun.  Firmly believe in continuing educational pursuits and this home business endeavor has certainly been an ongoing education. On and on and on  … 🙂

Below is a recap of various tools tested or tried to assist with content circulation or promotion, and delivering my articles, blog posts, etc., hopefully to a reading audience.  They work almost like magic. 🙂

Presenting your articles or blog in a newsletter or newspaper format, aggregated with similar subject matter, facilitates reading.  So publish your own daily or weekly “news” and create your own content HUBs. (HUBs, as in places where you consolidate and curate your own material; not as in HUBs published via

With these tools you can invite Subscribers (or if they visit and see how easy it is to subscribe) and they will begin receive regular notifications via eMail.  These two publishing tools are practically self-generating.  Once you choose the material you want to make available, the automation process kicks in and Voila!  You just have to do a few tweaks or cosmetic touch-ups every now and then.

  • (3)  Use to compile content and create your magazines. This tool allows you to write one post or share a link with or without your added remarks (called a “scoop”) and then share it to your Google Plus business page and/or your blog – in my case, my Tumblr blog. You can share when you post OR you can share at a later date. You can also choose to connect other social media accounts (Facebook or Twitter) or link your your WordPress blog, if you have the upgraded plan. With the free plan, your choices are limited to two account connections. is similar to Pinterest, Netboard or GooglePlus Collections in that it’s great for organizing and collecting. Similar but definitely not the same.
  • (4)  Use Flipboard the same way you use; i.e. to create magazines.  This tool was recommended by a fellow blogging and home biz entrepreneur, Tracey Jade Boyer.
