Here’s a TIP. Do you have a lot of bookmarks? Flip ’em!
I have this habit of staying in the Dark Ages even though my dear online friends try to drag me out, kicking and screaming!
Take Flipboard, for instance. My friend, Tracey Jade Boyer, who is very active on Flipboard (she has 22 magazines) was after me for several months saying “Create a Flipboard magazine to share your blog posts”. I tried to get started but if something goes wrong or is confusing the first time I test a new tool I get discouraged. Don’t know what I was doing wrong but when I went to create the account I kept getting wires crossed. Finally, a nice person from the Flipboard Help got things straightened out for me and I created a foodie magazine.
- Here’s a TIP within a TIP: If you contact a site’s Help or Support folks and they respond, and not only respond but actually help you! … that’s very likely a really good site. You need to examine it closely and carefully!
As of February 2017, I have 3 Flipboard magazines. I’m lovin’ them!

One might say:
“I don’t FLIP! I PIN! Pinboards? Magazines? What’s the difference?”
To which my response would be:
I PIN! I FLIP! I SCOOP! I HEART! I COLLECT! I TUMBLE and occasionally Stumble! 🙂
If a free tool or resource (with upgrade packages) is being offered that helps me expand my online presence, build my brand, gain followers/subscribers/customers, and grow my home business and reputation, why not use it? Did I mention it helps with SEO. (See related links below.)
If you’re a non-geek type like me and find a tool that is easy to use and helps with SEO … why would you not at least try it?
♦ But I digress. This TIP is about bookmarks in your browser. Bookmarking is great! Don’t get me wrong. I have about 10 special folders and a bunch of unsorted bookmarks. But only I know about them. Why keep the wealth all to myself? It’s OK to share! People would not survive on the Internet if they didn’t share. So every once in while, go through your browser bookmarks and clean house! Take some of those sites you use for reference and FLIP ’em! You can PIN them too! It’s all good! 🙂
Also, you can link your Flipboard account to your Facebook and Twitter social media accounts, and easily re-share your flips to your timeline on these social networks.
If you have not already done it, add FLIPPING! to your content circulation strategy.
