* * * UPDATE Jan 30, 2016: This was a very nice community. Even though the accumulation of earnings was slow, interaction among the members was lively and spirited. The site owner made a public announcement that the website will be shut down. My honest review of this site (below which was published Oct 10, 2015) will not be modified. It was nice while it lasted! * * *
Persona Paper is a social blogging community.
Persona Paper is a social blogging community. It is very similar to publishing your own blog and being a part of a lively social network. Whereas Blogjob has a points system, this site has a coins system. Members earn coins for writing and for commenting. Very few communities pay for comments unless the group is set up as a discussion forum (like MyLot).
Joined the FOPP in February of this year (2015) and my experience has been very pleasant. Not everyone can participate, so it not entirely worldwide. The site owners made that decision for financial reasons and people from certain countries can not sign up. It is explained in the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). Please don’t take offense. The restriction may change at a later date.
Currently, my profile shows 172 articles. Your published entry need only be 500 characters (not words), but of course, most people share posts longer than that. The platform is simple but kind of quirky.
For example, after publication, if you edit later, sometimes your image might disappear. It’s a minor inconvenience. Just add it back.
Another quirk is the search engine results. This is MY opinion. Navigation, using the search box at the site is not very user-friendly for seeking and finding, so you might trying to Google the FOPP (Friends of Persona Paper) articles. Even that effort – to borrow a quote from Forrest Gump – is like “a box of chocolates” because “you never know what you’re going to get”. { FYI. If you want to know where to buy some excellent gourmet chocolates, click here. }
Back on topic. Another quirk? If you don’t sign in at least once a month your account might go into Inactive status. Some accounts are actually suspended. Have no clue what they could have done for that happen. (O.o) Seriously. The rules of the site are super simple. But it’s not totally dark when that occurs. Many members get their suspensions removed and become active again.
Overall, if you were to ask me if it’s worthwhile to join? Two thumbs up and a B+. Being honest. Can’t give it an A+ because of the quirks. But if my recommendation was based solely on interactions with the community, it would be A++ times 1000. The genuine feedback on my articles makes me want to be there. Real people give real comments. You might think: ‘Well duh! They get paid for it. No they don’t. That’s not how it works. Coins are earned for ‘qualifying comments’. The remarks often offered are beyond that; and made from pure passion and sincerity.

You could page through my articles (if you have the patience). It might be quicker if you put my user name in the site’s search box (upper corner). Looks like my 10 most popular posts appear in the results. Out of the 170+ posts, these are my top 5 picks. Even though my posts cover a wide range of topics – business,entertainment, etc., 3 of the 5 are about food. Hey! I love to eat! 🙂
- Experiencing the Joy of Salsa
- Balsam: For Priests, Kings and Everyday People
- Dominant Personality Traits
- Indian Food – Myth or Fact
- QOD: Homemade Pizza or Buddha’s Delight?

I have been a member since it opened but I cannot seem to make any money. But I cannot stay on line for hours and hours daily either because I work, that is why I love it here.
Yes. I completely understand your point of view. I divide my time spent at the various sites. It’s the philosophy of not putting all your apples or eggs in one basket. The pennies in my bank accumulate slowly but they are building up. It a residual or passive income stream not a primary income means. My concern is that the site may shut down. So many sites like PersonaPaper run for a few years and then vanish. Hope this site stays online. It is a nice community. It takes little effort to publish a post and make a few comments and earn coins for that activity. Thanks for visiting and letting me know you were here.
