Getting External Traffic from Linkedin

linkedin-3

What is Linkedin

Linkedin is a well-known social networking website that was designed for people in business, writing and working class to connect each other.

It is also a site where jobless people to look for suitable jobs as according to your country of origin.

You can see the user’s occupation, employment history, education level, company of employment and the websites that he is active in.

Another thing you should know is, ANYONE can join in Linkedin , even though you are a homemaker, a student or a jobless person like me.

There are thousands of International people online and I even had the chance to connect my ex-classmate who had been working Singapore since 1980’s.

Reasons to register Linkein

  1. I had registered Linkedin when I first started my first recipe blog 8 years ago.
  2. Through Linkedin, my recipe blog gets external traffic, people who click onto my blog links and read my articles.
  3. You can see the number of people who had read your posts daily and who had connected you, read your profile and left kind messages in your Message Inbox .
  4. Linkedin doesn’t required any referral links or another user introduction.
  5. You can register it with your email address.

What you can do at Linkedin

There are a few things you can do at Linkedin to help your websites to increase more external traffic.

  1. Share an update– copy and paste your Blogjob post URL link here, your summarize article will appear, press SHARE
  2. Upload Photo– open the JPEG or PNG file of your photo, write a short note, press SHARE
  3. Publish a Post– Type in your article , insert photo and links, press SAVE and PUBLISH. The format is similar to Yahoo Mail Compose email .
  4. Besides that, remember to KEEP IN TOUCH with your new friends at the top, right corner of the page. You can see the user photo, his occupation, the number of years he had worked in the company. Press LIKE or COMMENT. ( I press LIKE)
  5. Invitation Sent Message will appear.
  6. If you are not keen to connect with a certain user, press SKIP, it will lead you to another new user.
  7. Some user do not accept random connections or followers. Hence, you have to fill in the user’s email address and a short message. ( I would skip that since I do not know the user either).

230220146276

Connect as many connections ( users) if you can because you will have the higher chances to get Linkedin users to read your Blogjob posts.

You can also read their posts on the HOME page. ( I do read some of them which are interesting )

You can also connect the people you want to connect by typing in “BLOGJOB” in the SEARCH box at the top of the page.

There , you can see all the Blogjob users that had connected to Linkedin.

Press FOLLOW to connect them or VIEW to read their profile.

I really like Linkedin very much that had helped to generate external traffic to my Blogjob posts.

Bitlanders- Slow but Steady

This is my personal review.

230220146276

Bitlanders, a site that I had long heard from fellow blogjob friends.

This is the site where you post articles, short greetings, commenting on other microblogs, press the “heart” buttons for likes which is also called “buzz” buttons.

The more buzzes you achieved, more GBM or BM (bitcoins ) you will receive.

GBM and BM are alike Blog points but it takes a lot of effort to achieve 1 GBM.

You will need 10,000,000 BM = 1 GBM

That is why I had mentioned “Slow “

Honestly, Bitlanders is alike Facebook and TSU where you post microblogs at least 15 per day but I usually post 5 microblogs, nothing much to blah blah about.

150220146061

Microblogs

Microblogs are short sentences that you put on your “Wall” just like Blogjob.

Short sentences such as “How are you?” or  “Good night” are the usual greetings you can find on each profile page.

Some may post daily quotes, jokes or questions as microblogs but remember to put in the source of the quotes before publish.

Blogs

Now, there are 2 types of blogs you can choose from:

  1. a normal blog ( 100 words ), post it and share at social media sites, received less than 30 buzzes. I prefer to post normal blogs because I don’t have to use up my GEMS. These GEMS are important for crucial times, so don’t misused the GEMS.
  2. a good content blog (10000 words) but you need to hit the “Review” button and use up your Gems for the admin to review your blog. Once it has been approved, you  will received tens or hundreds of buzzes which will help you to push up your rank.

What is Buzzscore

Buzzscores are the number of times of people press the “buzz” button on your blogs, microblogs , videos and photo gallery.

The more buzz score you have in a day shows how interactive you are on the board.

Buzz are alike “like ” button as in Blogjob.

A lot of people misuse the buzz button but nobody cares about it. Consider it spamming the buzz buttons.

The Buzzscore is calculated at the end of the day and you will be given the BM ( which is the bitcoins ) in your “Reward” page.

As for Asian, depending on the country you reside, I have to wait 8.30pm which is USA 8.30am for my Reward page to work out the figure.

I usually buzz those photos that I like, quotes which are innovative and blogs which are useful.

I don’t spam my buzzes.

Increase your GBM or BM (bit coins )

2 ways to do it:

  1. Complete the “Daily Quests”
  2. Complete the “Quests Box”

which are located on the top, right hand side of your wall.

I usually complete them before I head for buzz.

Conclusion:

Up to today, the 7th day, I have achieved 1,036,911 bitcoins which equals only 1 GBM.

Got to fight for another 9 GBM in order to cash out USD$10 paypal ( I need 10,000,050 bitcoins )

It is a slow to earn site but steady as it goes up.

If you would like to give a try, please click on my LINK HERE, thanks !

Beware of Chatabout-Stay Away From It !

I have long heard about this site called “ Chatabout”

It is an online community site where you can earn online by writing short posts,

commenting and  participating offers, surveys, watching videos to achieve points.

I had read a few positive and negative reviews about Chatabout.

Most people were awarded with points , managed to claim their rewards but nobody had mentioned  about being kicked off without notification on the 2nd day.

Upon registration under my friend’s referral, I was awarded 500 points immediately.

I was happy and started to leave comments, follow other writers, participating

surveys, listening to radio,  watching videos to obtain the points.

Writing posts, require 48 hours of access, which means I couldn’t have my posts

published on my profile page.

That is allright with me as long I can carry on commenting and getting my points

accumulated.

By the second day, I had accumulated 550 points.

By the third day, I couldn’t log in with my username and password.

I  thought; it that maybe I had remembered wrong password.

Hence, I click onto “forget password” to obtain the new password.

To my dismay, the message appeared “ this email address doesn’t not exist”

I tried to log in again my email address and password, it says

“ Having trouble to access  email address”

Gosh, this is terrible.

Quickly, I send 2 emails to the admin using “contact” and waited.

Until today, I didn’t receive any messsages and my account is still not accessable.

I tried to register again which I did succcessfully.

Started to comment and write short posts again.

However on the same day, I tried to log in again,

Same problem.

I give up!

This is the 2nd attempt I had tried to register at Chatabout but this site is a scam.

It cheated on my points, deleting my account without any reasons at all.

I have not even had my post published yet.

At least, the admin should give me one good reason for kicking me out of this site TWICE!

So, DO STAY AWAY from Chatabout if you have not register yet.

In addition, my good friend at Blogjob also advised me to forget about this site.

He too had his account deleted for no reason either!

This article is posted based on my experience and opinion.

Missing Point Again- My Stupid Blunder

040320146583

Yes, it happened again today.

I had just published a blog post at 2.15pm (Malaysia time) but I wasn’t given 50 points immediately.

Honestly, it was my blunder because I knew that I had to publish my new post AFTER 3pm local time which is 1am USA time.

Let me explain this problem.

Remember that in the past I had send constant messages to Sir @Sheridan about my missing points? In a week, I could experienced 3 times of filling up the missing point forms that one of our fellow blogger also noticed it.

It was Blogjob server problem. I finally realized the problem that had occurred was due to the time zone.

Yes, when the time zone hits at 12am, I would experience missing points almost 80%. If I am not wrong, it is the time slot that changes and maybe the internet line wasn’t quick enough to excess the points into my account.

After several times of sending messages to Sir Sheridan 3 times in a week of the same problems, I finally decided to test out at different time slot.

I managed to “catch” the most suitable time slot which had reduced the frequency of Missing Points occurrence.

  1. Malaysia time before 12pm = USA 10am
  2. Malaysia time after 3pm = USA 1am

As long I do not publish any post at 2pm Malaysia time ( USA = 12am ) I am SAFE .

However, the last few days I had been too busy with gardening and household chores that I got panicked when I couldn’t reach my daily goal 150 points.

In order to hit my goal for the day, I quickly posted 3 blog posts without looking at the time slot.

Which is the reason why I had to admit that it was my mistake, a stupid blunder that I could had avoided if I had looked at the time before I hit the Publish button.

Sorry again Sir Sheridan, I had to trouble you again to look into my account for the missing points.

It is fortunate that most writers do not experience missing points at any time when publishing their posts.

I guess I belong to one of those unlucky writers, at the wrong time and the wrong place.

Tips to Increase Internal and External Traffic to Your Blogs

There isn’t any 100% guarantee tips that would make your traffic flow to your blog posts but I always try to get some useful tips from my fellow writers who are experienced writers online.

I used to have a bub-dad at Bubblews by the username @Javaman74.

He is a 74 years old writer with great experience in writing tips for novice earners, travelling tips and he was a very helpful ” visual dad” to me.

230220146276

After leaving Bubblews, I concentrated at Blogjob but my traffic was low.

Hence, i decided to stick to  @Javaman74 tips and this is how I managed to earn 150points daily by following diligently his tips.

10 Tips to increase internal and external traffic to your blog posts:

  1. After I had published the first post, I will look into my notification lists; reply to those writers had mentioned me, left comments on my post.

2. Then, I will read the latest posts for those writers who had liked my first post of the day.

Sometimes, I may get a handful of likes depending on the topic.

Sometimes, I may or may not receive any comments.

However, I would invest an hour of my time to read blog posts, definitely leave my insightful comments on at least one of the post that I had read.

3. Next, I share a link of my first post of the day with the share Medias which I must admit, helped my earnings to increase and the traffic flow too.

I share a link at tumblr, linkedin, stumbleupon, facebook, twitter, giggle plus, pinterest and blogger.

4. My next step is to look at the Blogjob main page.

I am pretty picky on the titles.

I read these articles that I fancy or matched my interest.

Approximately, 20 posts to read,  likes and comments which takes two hours of my time.

If I were to click like without reading or leaving comments, that takes around 20 min but I don’t earn much with serial liking.

Out of 20 posts of reading, I earned another 10 points, not much but I can’t complain.

5. Finally, I read my best followers, the writers whom had followed me.

We frequently interact with each other daily on the profile wall or create a private group.

These are Philippines, Italy, Malaysia and USA writers. More followers, more traffic coming in.

I noticed that USA and the Philippines writers gave me my extra boost compare to other Asian writers.

After I had reached my goal of 100 points,I will publish my 2nd post of the day.

That makes 150 points per day, the maximum limit for me.

The same routine goes on again.

Tell , how do you increase your traffic flow to your blog posts?\

Reasons Why I Prefer to Blog In The Morning

Blogging is a time consuming task that takes up almost half of the day for me.

I don’t concentrate on 1 single site but 4 different sites which is why it is time consuming.

Hence, during the weekdays, I prefer to spend my time blogging at 6am in the morning.

That is the time after my son had left for school at 5.45am when the school bus picks him up at the gate.

Reasons why I prefer to blog in the morning:

Peace and quiet

At 6am, most of the people in my neighborhood and my household are asleep.

Only a few neighbors had left their house for work as they work in Singapore. They have to leave at least 2 hours earlier before work starts.

The sky is still pitch black, only the crickets and frogs nature sound could be heard.

This is the best time to write blog posts where I need good concentration to purge out my thoughts.

Fast Internet Speed

Yes, the internet speed is 100% faster than night time. Since everyone is still asleep, I could upload my photos at Blogjob and publish my blogposts without any glitches.

Recently, I have not encounter any missing points because I chose the right time to publish my posts, 6am in the morning.

Reach my daily goal

One of the benefits of blogging at early in the morning is reaching my daily goal at the shortest time possible. Usually, it takes 7 hours of my time to reach my goals for each 4 sites. At Blogjob, it takes almost 3-4 hours for me to reach 150points. However, when I blog in the morning, I could reach my goal in 1 hour, saving 3 hours in advance.

Therefore, I could spend the remainder time on other sites to get my goals time before I had to start preparing breakfast for my teenager and my hubby.

Ample time

After I had finished my goals at Blogjob, I have ample time to draft out for tomorrow’s blog posts. I always prepare my blog posts in advance , so that I don’t have to rush and focus too much time on the laptop. My eyesight is getting poor now.

So, that’s all for now. Need to get things done now-household chores.

Cheers

Difficulties to Interact at Blogjob

Sorry for not being able to blog here at Blogjob for the past few days.

I was extremely busy with spring cleaning from the 1st of February until the first day of Chinese New Year at 8th February.

You may not find me interacting at Blojob often during these period of time but I did post 2 blog posts per day and tried to interact with other bloggers too.

What really happened to BMN? - drawn by peachpurple

Glitch or Internet Speed Problem

However, I had noticed a huge problem here at Blogjob.

I am not sure whether it is the glitch or the Internet speed problem.

You see, I have no problem in publishing new blog post and rarely had any missing points now.

I do post 2 blog posts daily and tried to interact with other bloggers but the webpage is lagging terribly.

I tried to comment in Groups, Forums, Sites and Members but each comment that I had posted did not refresh the page itself.

When I leave my comments, press the button “Post” , the page stays there for the last 3 minutes.

In order words, the page did not refresh and my points was not credited to my account.

When I hit the reload or refresh button, my comments were gone, I had to retype the comments again.

However, when I tried to log in other websites such as Hubpages, I had no problems with leaving comments on hubs and the page refresh itself after I hit the post button.

I thought maybe it was my laptop problem. Hence, I tried to interact with my smartphone.

Unfortunately, the same results happened. The page still doesn’t refresh on its own. It looks like a glitch from the Blogjob network.

Good grief, writing isn't easy at Wikinut drawn by peachpurple

Error message

Furthermore, I had been facing “pop up” page such as “Server error” , “Webpage Error” which I had gave up after numerous of tries.

I knew that the Blogjob was under maintenance a few days ago but the next day, the site was still as bad as ever, still lags , stays stagnant on the same page, the circle arrow keeps circling for ages.

Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Therefore, for the past 7 hours, I managed to achieve 15 points for leaving comments and interacting.

Usually, it just takes 1-2 hours to reach 50 points for interacting.

Now, it is going to take 1/2 day !!

Anyway, if you couldn’t find me answering your questions, please pardon me because the website page doesn’t refresh after I had posted my comments.

I don’t know what went wrong.

Help anyone?

Btw, I had sent a message to sir sheridan.

My Incentive at Blogjob

The other day, my FB friends were asking me; “What is your incentive at Blogjob?”

This is an embarrassing question. What is the meaning of “incentive”?

I hit the google search and found out that incentive indicates :

the purpose of a person to do something for a purpose

the object or reasons that encourages you to do something at Blogjob.

Oh I get it now!

So, here are my incentive for writing at Blogjob.

8f2295bdd369414cb3ec63cdca27a49f

  1. Are you here to write?
  • Yes, I am here to write about sharing my recipe posts that I had cooked or baked everyday.
  • I do write at Hubpages but more often here than there.
  • All my recipes are original, home cooked and tested by myself.

  1. Are you here to share your words and wisdom?
  • I am not Albert Einstein or William Shakespeare.
  • Sharing my knowledge would be my opinion on certain topics that I am keen or talented in.
  • I would prefer to learn from the veteran writers, experienced Bloggers who are kind to share their tips and tricks on writing online and money earning topics.

150220146061

  1. Are you here for the honest interaction?
  • Yes, I do interact everyday, at least 10 posts , leaving my comments but the problem is I don’t receive any return comments.
  • There seems to be more “LIKES” than comments. Don’t you think?
  • Hence, sometimes, I just “LIKE” some posts and carry on reading without commenting.
  • Very disappointed but then, 1 point for every “like” and “comment“, I can accept that.

  1. Are you here for the money?

Well, you can’t deny that!

  • Read the redemption posts.
  • Everyone writer who had redeemed his first Blogjob payment or reached 5000 points / 10,000 points would definitely announce his achievement on the wall or blog post.
  • Blogging for earning money is not a guilt but a taste of satisfaction of victory

  1. Are you here to cheat the system at every corner?

No, definitely not!

I don’t want my account to disappear for a stupid mistake.

Plagiarism and spamming are the most stupid ideas to apply at Blogjob.

You will lose money and your account once Sir Sheridan had been informed.

So, why take the risk? Be honest with your original work.

Write a blog post as your heart desires. That is the way you do it.

Weird Connection

wifi-158401_960_720

Have you ever encounter weird connection when you are outdoor?

Today, I was at another residential area, visiting an old relative at her home.

Her residential area is located 30minutes from my house, different phone number, different username and different modem.

Now , at the moment, the adsl line of her modem was blinking which means there was something wrong with the internet line.

I had tried turning off the modem switch, on it again, still the ADSl light kept blinking.

d-link-87715_960_720

Hence, I changed to another spare modem that she had in hand.

Unfortunately, the same result occurred.

I helped her to make a report by calling the telephone center.

Indeed, after the telephonist had checked her line is faulty , spontaneously produced a report number which I had jotted down. It will take 24 hours to 48 hours to fix the internet problem.

It seemed that the internet port had been disconnected or “jumped” which required the technician to fix it.

After I had put down the phone, I tried to go online buy switching on my cellphone wlan.

Immediately, it connected to my home internet line.

Although the modem was turned off, I could use my cellphone to connect the wifi connected to my home modem which was 30minutes from my relatives house.

Isn’t it weird?

I managed to have this weird connection and blogging right now online at Blogjob without the modem on.

modem-1833_960_720

Miracle isn’t it?

I wanted to make sure that the modem username and password were not mine, I had switched the modem on and went into the settings.

Thank goodness , those were hers.

Ironically, this is not the first time I could connect WIFI to home modem when I am out.

I think it is connected to my cellphone WLAN.

Anyway, I had better shut off WLAN and disconnect it.

Otherwise, strangers would be able to access to my WIFI.

Have you ever encountered such weird connection?

Persona Paper is Shutting Down

Persona Paper is shutting down.

It is having the same problems as other sites (BBW, BMN, WE, DTC, WN ) that we had known which had closed down last year.

Everyone is blaming on the ads revenue and we can’t blame them for making this final decision.

Writing online at Blogjob wasn't easy, drawn by peachpurple

Writing online  wasn’t easy, drawn by peachpurple

What I have to say

To be honest, I had been writing at Persona Paper since January 2015.

It is almost a year and I am ashamed to admit that I HAD NOT REDEEM any money yet.

The minimum payout is USD$20 but I had earned USD$6 until today.

I do not mind if I am not being paid at all because I had not contributed much at this site.

Persona Paper is alike Mykites and the dead BBW.

I like the writing format, the community harmony and personally, I was surprised that the level of spamming is extremely low. The team management had done well on this part.

Why I don’t write at Persona paper Often

  1. The only disadvantage is the low earning which had disperse some of its’ writer from writing posts daily.
  2. Another problem was the popping advertisement which had caused my laptop OS failure several times.

According the Norton Anti Virus, it was malware virus from this site because every time I log in Persona paper, the ads kept blocking my view.

Hence with this ads problem, I had cut down on my visits there.

Good grief, writing isn't easy at Wikinut drawn by peachpurple

The reasons

Some writers had seen the signs of Persona paper facing some problems for quite some time.

People are pinpointing at Adsense as the main cause to had driven Persona Paper to step into the coffin.

When people reads posts, some may click on the ads to generate revenue to the site. I don’t click to ads on any site because I don’t trust these ads.

Time is money drawn by peachpurple

Kind admin

  1. Although the admin had mentioned that she wasn’t sure who will receive the payments, I am sure that she will try to send out payments via Paypal for those with high amount in pending at the moment.
  2. It was kind of the admin to inform that those writers who are earning less than USD$20 payout, may or may not receive payments too if there is sufficient funds.
  3. Furthermore, writers are given ample time to back up their posts which was kind of the team to be so helpful.

Conclusion

Anyway, I am glad to say, I had enjoyed my stay at Persona Paper, although I don’t contribute much posts there due to the abovementioned reasons.

In addition, I won’t be backing up any of my posts either since majority are rants and nonsense article.

Let us not stop writing at whatever sites that had left us.

I will be focusing on Blogjob and Hubpages everyday and hope to meet some of our Persona paper friends here.

Cheers

Bon Voyage Persona Paper!
