Allegedly an employee let loose some of the details while doing some testing for Nintendo, spewing some of the beans like an angry child tipping over their bowl while sitting in a training chair. Wii U Makes Up For 27% Of Shovel Knight’s First-Month Sales

Shovel Knight has become somewhat of a runaway success. The game has moved more than 180,000 copies in its first month on sale, and this is for a game that was crowd-funded through Kickstarter. The little indie-game-that-could has managed to find quite a bit of success on Nintendo’s little console-that-could, as the Wii U made up for 27% of the total sales of Shovel Knight, with the Nintendo 3DS making up for 33% and Steam accumulating 37% of the sales.
