Nintendo released some new screenshots and concept art for Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U and they preview the game’s recently revealed characters that appeared in the trailer earlier today. The screenshots depict the three new Fire Emblem heroes (and heroines) as well as Captain Falcon, all in their prime-time fighting glory.
So far, the Big ‘N’ has been peppering the game community with plenty of new information and regular updates on the progress of Super Smash Bros. in order to keep the hype flowing. Nintendo managed to carve out a spiffy piece of momentum with the launch of Mario Kart 8 and a snazzy follow-through with a top-notch showing at E3, which included the Smash invitational and concurrent Best Buy kiosks.
The new trailers and character reveals happening at various intervals leading up to the game’s hotly anticipated release this holiday season has been phenomenal. Nintendo is keeping the hype train chugging along like TNA Impact trying to fight through their financial difficulties to maintain their coveted number two spot.
You can check out the new screenshots and concept art for the game below. The Nintendo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. is due for release on October 3rd, later this year, and you can practice on the game until the Wii U version is primed and ready to hit store shelves by the holiday season.
Need more info? Feel free to hit up the game’s official website. And here’s hoping the game does well enough in the FGC community that it makes an appearance at next year’s Evo. That would be a real pretty thing, if I might say so myself.
